Subbody Center, Surroundings & Himalayan Wildlife
Our center is located in the skirts of Dhauladhar Mountains (a part of the Himalayas) and surrounded with amazing landscapes. The region is home to more than 550 bird species, making it a birds’ paradise. You can easily encounter monkey families all around McLeod Ganj.
Our understanding of dance is deeply rooted in our connection with nature and wildlife; although there is no guru or teacher in our center (we are all co-researchers), we consider mountains, rocks, trees, plants, insects and all animals as our teachers. So this powerful nature/wildlife is not only a background for our center but also a fundamental component of our research.
